Dustin L. Burgoon a certified Kayak Instructor with the American Canoe Association.  I have 30 years of paddling experience, mostly canoes, kayaking and small fishing vessels. My dad loved boating and fishing at kinzua damn.   

I’m 42 years of age, Married to my lovely wife Brandi Burgoon. (15years) She’s a music teacher here in Cameron County, PA.  

I am a CCHS Graduate Class of 1999

I am a PTI Graduate Class of 2001 OCT. (PTC now Pittsburgh technical college) 

Finacial Peace University, with Dave Ramsey debt free, and living and giving like no one else, it’s definitely fun!! (Brandi and I competed the course twice 13 weeks and 9 weeks) This gave us opportunities to help others and chase dreams and life goals. To God be the Glory!

I spent most of my life in hospitality industry. (25+years) I’m a Pittsburgh technical college Graduate, for hospitality management.  After Covid-19(2021), I needed a change, and some opportunities were presented.  My Buddy Moe Salmon started this same journey fall of 2020 down in Jacksonville, Fl

So, I jumped on a plane and visited him for 9 days to pick his brain and learn as much as humanly possible to get started to become an ACA certified LVL 2 Kayak instructor.  Signed up for an instructor class in Annopoliss, MD. June 2022 with Tom Nickols. An instructor that is based out of Virginia/DC area. RiverWind Kayak

My mission- Have fun and be safe while learning some new fun paddling sport/skills.  To help build your confidence and tear down barriers of fear with boating and water.   Sometimes Fear can discourage us from fun activities. I’m going to do my best to help provide that environment and encouragement needed to paddle safely here in the Great PA wilds.  Happy, Healthy, and strong for our minds, bodies and souls!
